Free & Reduced Lunch Program

For the 2022-2023 school year, XCS is eligible to offer free meals to all K-8 students through the Community Eligibility Program (CEP). Under this program, there are no forms for elementary and middle school (K-8) parents to fill out, and students are eligible to receive breakfast and lunch at no cost. However, families must complete the Household Information Survey for fee waiver purposes (see below). In addition, completing that survey will help XCS continue participating in the program.

For students at XHS, an application for free/reduced meals must be completed as part of Final Forms. This application requires that families submit proof of income, and is generally completed at the start of each school year.

Fee Waivers

Families who meet income eligibility requirements may apply for an annual waiver of academic school fees. All paperwork is processed through Final Forms, and this must be completed for each student every year.

A note about Final Forms:
XCS uses this online service to securely collect and manage critical information about students in the district. This service makes it possible for the district to manage both day-to-day education information, as well as student participation in extracurricular activities such as a sport or band, advanced classes, and more. Each year, parents can use this process to update contact information, submit medical forms, and apply for waivers for fees or free/reduced school meals for students in grades 9-12.
