Xenia Preschool: Rayleigh Butler
Rayleigh always comes to school with a positive attitude.  She makes an effort to show kindness and help out her classmates every day.  She sets an example of what leadership and good character in the classroom looks like.  Being the type of person who shows kindness, compassion, and leadership day in and day out takes a positive attitude, and that is exactly what Rayleigh brings to her classroom every day!

Arrowood Elementary: Brennen Cardenas
Brennen is a 4th grader in Mrs. Baker's homeroom class. Mrs. Baker writes, "Brennen is a wonderful student and classmate.  He always shows respect to those around him. Brennen is always willing to help anyone in need. He makes our classroom and our school a better place!" Thank you for being such a great student, Brennen!

Cox Elementary: Alivia Noval
Alivia was nominated by her teacher Ms. Thomas. She writes, "Alivia is a student I have known for several years due to her exuberant personality and kindness toward other students. She embodies all the traits that it takes to be a Cox Elementary shining star. Alivia is respectful in that she is kind to her classmates and school staff, freely offering compliments and treating everyone around her as she would her family. Additionally, Alivia is a responsible student. She always completes her work even when it becomes challenging, takes it upon herself to help other students around her that may be struggling, and puts forth her best effort at all times. Alivia shows that she cares by going above and beyond to be a bus buddy for younger students, embracing new students, making sure the school is clean and taken care of, and voluntarily helping out any time she can. Cox Elementary is lucky to have a student like Alivia."

McKinley Elementary: Ivy Schaffer
Congratulations, Ivy, for being chosen as McKinley’s Kid of Character for October! Ivy is a hardworking and considerate student. She sets a good example by following rules, treating others with respect, being a problem-solver, and helping to support her classmates and her teachers! We are so happy to have her in 4th grade this year! Keep up the great work Ivy!

Shawnee Elementary: Landyn Golding
Landyn is someone who embodies the values of respect in every aspect of his life. He treats others with kindness and consideration, regardless of their background or beliefs. Landyn understands that respect is not just about words but also about actions. Thank you, Landyn, for being such a positive role model of respect to your classmates.

Tecumseh Elementary: Lilee Brown, 5th grade
Lilee is conscientious in her work and responsibly turns it in on time every time.   She is a responsible leader during labs and group activities and is respectful to others even when they may not deserve it. Lilee is organized and responsibly manages  her materials  and is always prepared for class. Lilee is responsible in that she keeps her grades up and is also involved in other activities such as Student Ambassadors. I’m very proud of her and enjoy having her in my class.  Stay awesome Lilee!

Warner Middle School Team Crocs:  Joy John-Paul
Character is defined as qualities of honesty, kindness, and integrity and Joy exhibits all of these.  Joy is a hard-working student, and she has demonstrated this in all of her classes.  You can always count on Joy to be prepared and ready to participate.  In the classroom, she is willing to assist teachers and give students a helping hand.  Her kindness towards others shows on a daily basis.  Joy’s love of learning is evident every day.

Joy is a leader at the school and puts her whole self into participating.  She is wonderful to have in class because she gives 110% every day and participates, adding to her education and the classroom culture.  Those around her find much to appreciate about her character. Congratulations, Joy, and keep up the awesome work!

Warner Middle School Team Converse:  Kennedy Cox
It is with great pleasure that the 7th Grade Teachers on Team Converse recommend Kennedy Cox with the honor of being our Kid of Character. Kennedy is a phenomenal young lady who shows the entire Warner community, by her everyday actions, what it means to be a Kid of Character and why she is deserving of this honor.

At Warner, Kennedy is a great role model in the classroom. She is attentive, always willing to help her peers, and completes exemplary work.  Outside of the classroom Kennedy also participates in a variety of activities including Warner’s volleyball team and leadership team.  When given a job Kennedy makes sure it is done to the best of her ability and sees it through to the very end. A perfect example of this is, our school’s anti-bullying and keep positive campaign, the leadership class planned.  Kennedy was the first to come up with creative ideas and was always willing to volunteer for morning announcements. Kennedy was also an amazing organizer and motivator in our school’s recent spirit week.  Her dedication, school pride, and sense of community was evident throughout the entire week.  Kennedy has a great personality, wonderful sense of humor, is extremely hard working, manages her time well and works well with others.  Warner and the world would be a better place with more people like Kennedy Cox in it. On behalf of the Team Converse teachers, we applaud your efforts and are pleased to recognize you, Kennedy!

Warner Middle School Team Nike:  Bella Metz
Team Nike is proud to recommend Bella Metz as our Kid of Character for the month of October. Bella is a rockstar of a person and student. She shows, by her actions: inside the classroom, in the hallways and at extracurricular activities what it means to be a Kid of Character and why she deserves to be recognized.

Bella is an engaged learner, eager to understand new concepts and ideas. She is a creative problem-solver and quick to respond to challenges. Additionally, Bella is a kind and compassionate individual, always willing to lend a hand to those in need. She is hardworking and dedicated to her studies, all the while being involved in a number of extracurricular activities. Outside of the classroom, Bella is involved in both yearbook and colorguard. She leads by example, has a positive energy and is a great addition to any room she is in. We are grateful to have Bella as a part of our team! On behalf of Team Nike, congratulations Bella!

Xenia High School: Benjamin Pulfer, Class of '25

The son of Mike and Jennifer Pulfer, Ben is described by his teachers as a dedicated student and a thoughtful and supportive person.  Ben is a member of the Xenia Marching Band and the Symphonic Band and enjoys building and painting scale models and playing video games in his spare time.  Ben is not yet sure what he wants to do when he graduates, but those of us at the High School who work with Ben know that he will do well in whatever endeavor he chooses.
