Model UN Students Participate in Conference at Wyoming High School

Last weekend, our XHS Model UN team attended a conference at Wyoming High School, where Sophomore Rubi Aguilar won an honorable delegate award!
This group of 16 students who participated over the weekend is new to Model UN and worked hard to prepare for this event. This was the first award ever earned by our XHS team, so congratulations are definitely in order.
Model UN enables students to step into the shoes of world leaders, gaining firsthand experience with the challenges faced by today’s leading diplomatic figures. At this most recent conference, they discussed events as varied as the Watergate scandal, the modern feminism movement, and the development of the slums in Mumbai.
