XCS Community Guidelines for Social Media
Xenia Community Schools maintains social media pages to provide information about what is happening in our schools to the community. We want to hear from you, and encourage comments, helpful critiques, questions, suggestions, and sharing of posts!
In order to create a positive and engaging environment for everyone on our XCS social media accounts, we ask all users to treat one another with respect. Users may disagree with one another; however, they must be respectful of others at all times and model the same good behavior we expect from our students.
We ask that visitors to our pages to stay on topic, respect other people’s opinions, avoid profanity, offensive statements, and illegal content. Insults, threats, and/or harassment are all prohibited.
Xenia Community Schools reserves its right to delete any post or comment that:
- is defamatory, hateful, racist, xenophobic, homophobic, sexist, vulgar or inappropriate;
- encourages criminal activity, violence, or truancy;
- is inaccurate or encourages disinformation;
- includes information that could compromise the safety of individuals or our schools;
- is unintelligible or irrelevant to the conversation. This includes off-topic comments and spamming comments across multiple threads to which the comments are off-topic;
- includes commercial solicitations or advertisements, such as outside services, products, political candidates or organizations;
- otherwise violates the restrictions listed above.
In addition, the district reserves the right to ban any user from our page without prior written notice or consent for violations of these community policies.
