From Classroom to Career: XHS Students Meet Healthcare Pros

Our Allied Health and Biomedical Engineering students at Xenia High School recently got a "day-in-the-life" look at the healthcare careers available here in Xenia!
We were excited to host a team of professionals from Alpine Health & Rehab and Atrium Health & Rehab. A huge thank you to Jazmaine Smith, Amber Moss, George Rager, Rob Peterson, Murica Windsor, and Angie Ivey for spending time with their future healthcare colleagues.
Going beyond a lecture, this team of pros offered a glimpse into careers in long-term care and rehabilitation. Our guests shared what it is actually like to work in modern healthcare facilities, as well as the steps, certifications, and degrees students might need to go from high school to a great paycheck.
By connecting our classrooms with local industry leaders, we are making sure Xenia students are graduating with a plan! Whether they head straight into the workforce or off to college, experiences like this will give them a competitive edge and the knowledge to make good decisions for themselves.
Partnerships like these bridge the gap between the classroom and life after high school. We are so grateful to Alpine and Atrium for investing in our students!
