Xenia Preschool: Gianna Sanford
Gianna is kind, polite, and considerate to her fellow classmates, as she is constantly thinking of others and will do whatever is asked of her with a smile. Within the classroom, Gianna is always sharing the classroom toys with her classmates and is very mannerly, as she continuously uses those kind words of please and thank you. If one of her classmates is sad, Gianna is there to give them a big hug. She is also very helpful to her classmates. If anyone needs anything, Gianna is there to give them a pencil, help classmates clean up after center time, or play with a classmate that needs a friend at recess. Congratulations Gianna on being such a kind student to your classmates and teachers alike.
Arrowood Elementary: Jose Garcia
Arrowood Elementary is proud to announce Jose Garcia as our November Kid of Character. Jose is a 5th grader, and his teacher, Mrs. Skiles, writes: "Jose consistently demonstrates kindness, responsibility, and respect in all that he does. His positive attitude, thoughtful actions, and kind heart make our classroom a better place. He goes above and beyond by doing what is asked the first time, showing that he is attentive, dependable, and respectful. Jose is someone you can count on and he helps create a respectful classroom community." We are so thankful to have you at our school, Jose! Congratulations on receiving this recognition.
Cox Elementary: Macey Maloney
Macy is a caring and courteous student. She always chooses wisely and is a leader for her peers. Macy works hard and is focused and responsible at school. She is kind and considerate to others. Macy is respectful to teachers and staff at the school. Macy is caring towards her peers and makes friends easily. She is definitely a Cox Shining Star!
McKinley Elementary: Anna Del Rio
The McKinley 3rd grade team would like to recognize Anna Del Rio as our Kid of Character. There are many reasons why Anna is more than deserving of this award. First and foremost, Anna continuously strives to do her best on any assignment or task that is given to her. She also sets an incredible example for other students on a daily basis, and is always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Finally, Anna exemplifies all of the qualities that a student should be--someone who is kind, caring, respectful and always tries their best!
Shawnee Elementary: Alden Nufer
Ashley Gray has chosen Alden Nufer for demonstrating the character trait of Responsibility. Alden consistently comes to class prepared and ready to learn. He brings his red folder to school each day and regularly returns his reading passage for our fluency challenge.
Alden takes ownership of his work by completing assignments on time and keeping track of his materials. He uses his time wisely, works efficiently, and sets a great example for his classmates. His consistent responsibility is reflected in his positive behavior each day.
Congratulations, Alden, on being such a responsible and dependable student. We are all very proud of you!
Tecumseh Elementary: Charlotte Varvel
Charlotte exemplifies respect every day in our classroom and throughout the school building. She treats people she knows and those she doesn’t with respect, always showing genuine care and consideration for others. Charlotte sets a positive example for her peers by consistently doing the right thing, even when no one is watching. She listens attentively, uses her manners, and makes everyone feel valued and included. I can always rely on her to show kindness, use polite words, and be honest in every situation. Her respectful attitude helps create a welcoming and positive classroom environment where everyone feels comfortable. Thank you for being so amazing and respectful, Charlotte!
Warner Middle School – Team Ambition: Logan Fleming
It is with great pleasure that the 6th Grade Team Ambition teachers recommend Logan Fleming as the November 2025 Kid of Character. Logan is an amazing young man and proves on a daily basis that he deserves this honor. Since transitioning to Warner, Logan has shown tremendous ability to acclimate to his classes and new environment.
Logan was chosen to represent our team because he exemplifies Warner’s Pillars of Success. He has a wonderful work ethic! He always does his best in class by consistently producing exemplary work, turning assignments in on time, and participating in class discussions. He is kind and respectful to everyone, both peers and teachers alike. Logan is always willing to help other students who might be struggling. Logan takes responsibility for his actions and his academics and works hard to make sure that he is living up to his potential.
Logan is the kind of kid that does that right thing, without the expectation of getting any recognition. His kindness, helpfulness, endless positivity, and work ethic make him a great nomination for Warner’s Kid of Character. We are all very proud of Logan as he deserves this honor.
Warner Middle School – Team Endurance: Ripley Tobin
We have had the pleasure of teaching Ripley Tobin this year on 6th Grade Team Endurance. From the start, Ripley has impressed us with her eagerness to do well, her passion for learning, and her desire to extend her own learning, like taking copious amounts of extra notes for social studies.
Ripley always shows the greatest deal of respect to classroom and guest teachers, setting the example for others. She exhibits responsibility by always completing her work, is always an active participant in class discussions, and steps up to take leadership roles in projects.
Recently, Ripley went above and beyond to inspire creativity in her group as they attempted to design a tornado proof building. Her caring nature, patience, and personality allow her to work well with anyone in the classroom, as she always respects the opinions and abilities of others. Ripley’s heart of service is further exemplified through her initiative to regularly step in to assist another student when they are in need of an aide.
We are certain that Ripley is destined to do great things. Her tireless work ethic, passion for learning, sense of responsibility, and her dependability will certainly make her successful in life. We are all very proud of you and want to congratulate you on being selected as Warner Middle School’s Kid of Character for the month of November for Team Endurance!
Warner Middle School – Team Courage: Carter Davis
Team Courage at Warner Middle School is proud to nominate Carter Davis as the Sixth Grade Kid of Character for the month of November! Carter has exhibited a genuine love and interest for learning and is an excellent student. In every class, he is conscientious of his work, strives to do his best on a daily basis, and is an active participant in each class. We as a team believe Carter is a student that others can count on to do the right thing when no one is looking. He is a positive role model for his peers by turning his work in on time, asking questions to better understand the material, and always willing to help others.
Carter earned November’s Kid of Character because he displays all the characteristics outlined in Xenia’s Portrait of a Graduate. He is kind, respectful toward peers and teachers, responsible at turning in classwork on time. He thrives with challenging tasks and perseveres with creating strategies to problem solve those tasks. He is the student leader that his classmates should seek to follow. Carter is an all-around good and authentic kid and because of this, he is an excellent nomination for November’s Kid of Character.
Xenia High School: Jenavieve Grooms
It is my pleasure to nominate Jenavieve Grooms as the XHS November Kid of Character. Jenavieve is a hard-working, kind, and dedicated student who consistently demonstrates outstanding character in everything she does. She approaches every assignment with care and enthusiasm, always striving to do her best and producing work of exceptional quality. Beyond her academic effort, Jenavieve is a positive presence in the classroom. She treats her classmates with respect and kindness, and she is always willing to help others.
It has been a true joy to teach Jenavieve for a second year. Her strong work ethic, positive attitude, and genuine love of learning make her a wonderful example of what it means to be a Kid of Character. I am so proud of her continued growth and grateful to have her in my class.
