On Saturday, October 17, the Xenia Marching Band hosted the 3rd Annual 'Last Blast' Marching Band Festival at Doug Adams Stadium. In attendance were 11 show-style, corps-style, or fair-style high school marching bands, with nearly 900 students and an excellent audience in attendance, as well as the Wilberforce University 'Hounds of Sound' Marching Band, under the direction of Dr. Virgil Goodwine. 

The evening was a success, proving to be an exciting one, featuring different thematic shows with music spanning from the 1950s to the present day. 

The marching band program would like to thank the Athletic Director and Cox Elementary Principal, Mr. Nathan Kopp and Mrs. Lisa Peterson, for the use of the stadium, Cox Elementary and grounds, administration, custodial services, festival event organizers, Mrs. Kellie Daab and Mrs. Jamie Holley, all XMB parent volunteers, marching band staff and, of course, our students for making the event one to remember.
