Engineering Project a Towering Success for WMS Students

Recently, Mr. Rudduck's 7th grade students got hands-on during a fun engineering challenge, where they had to work in teams to build a self-supporting paper tower! Each project had to be at least 20 cm tall and strong enough to hold as much weight as possible.
Teams worked together to plan their design, test their prototype, and fix their towers as they worked to increase the load. The students figured out smart ways to give their paper structures strength and balance.
The winning team's tower design managed to hold 15 Science Fusion textbooks before it finally collapsed!
This result was a fantastic demonstration of how smart design and teamwork pay off! The project offered a great opportunity for the students to see the engineering process in action, going from a simple idea to a super strong, resilient final product.
