Kindergarten Students Explore STEM

Children observe a 3D printer in a classroom setting, with printed objects on top.

Mrs. Gonzalez’s kindergarten class at Shawnee enjoyed an interactive STEM lesson with our district STEM coach, Mr. Carey. The students learned about 3D objects and 3D printing, and loved watching an object printing on a school 3D printer! Mr. Carey helped the students create their own 3D models on Tinkercad, a Computer-Aided Design (CAD) program. At Xenia Community Schools, even our youngest students learn real life skills that can be applied to future careers!
