Xenia High School HOSA Blood Drive Saves Lives

Xenia High School's first HOSA Blood Drive of the school year was a tremendous success! Thanks to the generosity of students and staff, 64 pints of blood were collected, potentially saving up to 192 lives.
A special thank-you goes out to all the student donors, especially those who rolled up their sleeves for the very first time. HOSA members also deserve recognition for their hard work and dedication throughout the day to ensure the event ran smoothly.
The success of the drive would not have been possible without the flexibility, patience, and support of XHS teachers and staff as HOSA transitioned to its first blood drive partnering with the American Red Cross.
Additionally, two community partners stepped up with generous support to help ensure that donors were well cared for following their donations! Xenia Walmart donated $100 toward recovery snacks, while Butterbee's provided chicken and chips for donors to enjoy after giving blood.
The Xenia HOSA chapter extends its sincere appreciation to everyone who contributed to making this event a success, demonstrating that even one donation can make a life-changing difference!
