This week, a group of our XHS seniors got a behind-the-scenes look at the skilled trades during a hands-on field trip to Dean’s Plumbing.

Instead of a typical lecture, students jumped straight into the action, gaining direct experience with the tools, techniques, and day-to-day work that make modern plumbing function.

• Beyond the practical work, the team at Dean’s walked students through the business side of the industry, covering:
• Getting Started: Pathways from high school to apprenticeships and entry-level positions.
• Earning Potential: The realistic, strong income levels skilled plumbers can expect to make working with Dean’s.
• Career Growth: Long-term opportunities within a high-demand, essential trade.

It was an engaging, eye-opening trip that gave our students a clear picture of what a successful career in the trades looks like. A huge thank you to Dean’s Plumbing for hosting our seniors and inspiring the next generation of tradespeople!
