XCS Foundation Announces 2026 Hall of Honor Inductees

The Xenia Community Schools Foundation (XCSF) invites the community to celebrate the 28th Annual Hall of Honor Dinner and Induction Ceremony on Saturday, April 25, 2026. This year’s event highlights four distinguished Xenia Community Schools alumni who have demonstrated excellence in leadership, service, and professional achievement.
Meet the Hall of Honor Class of 2026
Gary Allen (Class of 1982)
A retired Major with the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Allen’s 32-year law enforcement career included serving as a security liaison for the Arnold Schwarzenegger Classic and providing security for multiple Ohio Governors. He currently serves as Chief of Operations at the Ohio Industrial Commission and is a longtime mentor for low-income youth.
Garry Cohn (Class of 1973)
With a 53-year career in broadcasting, Cohn has hosted nationally syndicated radio programs and served as Editor in Chief of Gospel Voice Magazine. A graduate of Faith Bible Theological Seminary, he has been a staple in the Nashville and Ohio music scenes, earning numerous "DJ of the Year" nominations.
Joshua T. Cousins (Class of 2006)
A standout student-athlete at XHS and the U.S. Air Force Academy, Cousins served 12 years on active duty, rising to the rank of Major. After a decorated military career, he transitioned to the corporate sector at Nike, Inc., where he leads enterprise transformation initiatives.
John Richard Smith (Class of 1966)
The late founder of Buckmann’s Harley-Davidson, "Smitty" was a cornerstone of Xenia philanthropy. From sponsoring student-athlete scholarships to raising funds for needy children and the Golden Age Senior Citizens, his legacy of giving continues to impact Greene County.

The 2026 Hall of Honor will take place at Warner Middle School on April 25, with the Silent Auction beginning at 5:30 p.m. and the dinner and ceremony beginning at 6:30 p.m.
