On Friday, March 8, Xenia Community Schools will host a College & Career Expo for all students in grades 8-12. The event will take place at the high school, and will give students the chance interact with community partners from local businesses and organizations, as well as representatives from colleges.
For the Expo, students will have the chance to explore career options, and discover just what it might take to get where they want to go! Students will have the opportunity to ask questions, learn about careers, and explore local colleges. In addition, they will also have time to reflect on what they learned and what areas they want to explore in the future.
What are Career Clusters?
Career clusters are simply groups of jobs that are similar in terms of their features, knowledge, and skill-set! This includes areas such as Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources, Education and Training, Finance, Health Sciences, and more.
About the Expo
The Expo was planned by the district’s Curriculum & Instruction Department, and is part of the district's college and career readiness initiatives.
