On Wednesday, May 25, 231 XHS Seniors will take that long walk through the Nutter Center to the stage to receive their high school diploma, completing their 13-year academic journey with Xenia Community Schools.
Commencement will feature speeches from two representatives of the Class of 2022 and various school administration officials, as well as music selections from the Xenia High School Concert and Symphonic Bands and the XHS Vocal Ensemble. Student speakers were chosen by the Graduation Committee from among the speaker applicants based on their proposed speech, and remarks for this year will be made by Seniors Noor Sultan and Jobe Vogelsong as they represent their classmates at the podium.
BY THE NUMBERS*
This year’s graduating class includes 231 students. Of those, 114 (49%) will be heading off to a 2- or 4-year college, 44 (19%) will be taking full- or part-time employment, 6 (3%) are heading into the military, and 4 (2%) will be going into the trades. In addition, the XHS Class of 2022 has cumulatively received $7,402,676 in scholarship offers.

GRADUATES OF DISTINCTION
Xenia High School recognizes Graduates of Distinction, who are the students in the top 5% of the current graduating class, in lieu of naming a valedictorian. This year’s Graduates of Distinction: Jasmine Cboins, Madilyn Holcomb, Jessica Holland, Kelsey Kellner, Haley Kumpf, Jada McAvene, Emily McIntosh, Haley McManus, Connor Miller, William Miller, Allison Vandergriff, Alayna Vela, and Jobe Vogelsong.
