A police officer speaks to a group of students in a modern building.

Our 7th graders at Warner Middle School have been bringing history to life as they wrapped up their unit on Ancient Rome and the Roman Republic!

Over the past few weeks, students explored how the Roman government worked, discovered surprising similarities to the United States, and debated the big question: How does power shape a civilization?

To end the unit with a bang…or should we say a stab... students participated in a full Julius Caesar Cold Case Investigation! They rotated through evidence stations, examined clues, analyzed motives, and built their case for why Julius Caesar was assassinated.

A BIG shoutout to Warner’s amazing SRO, Officer Becky Andorfer, who helped guide students through their investigation. Her real-world expertise made the experience even more engaging and authentic!
