Xenia Preschool: Lily Gray

Lily Gray exemplifies what being a Super Friend is at Xenia Preschool. She is respectful, caring, helpful and kind to all her classmates. When a problem arises in the classroom, Lily will be there helping her classmates. Lily demonstrates problem solving skills independently to help solve the issue. She demonstrates empathy to her peers when they are in need of help. Her awareness of peers and their needs goes over and beyond. Lily brings happiness and joy to everyone she is around. Congratulations Lily!

Arrowood Elementary: Lily Washburn
Arrowood Elementary is proud to announce Lily Washburn as our Kid of Character! She is a kindergarten student in Mrs. Vest's class. Mrs. Vest writes, " You can always find Lily listening, following directions, and being a helper to others. She is responsible, always has what she needs during work times and is a great friend." Lily spreads joy to students and staff around her with her enthusiasm and kind heart. We are so grateful that she is one of our students, and she is easily deserving of this recognition. Congratulations to Lily!

Cox Elementary: Adaleah Truesdale
Adaleah is one of the most hard-working students I have ever had in class. She loves to learn. She works hard to meet her goals and show improvement, and she has shown huge improvement this year. Adaleah is also very helpful in class. She is the first person to help clean up without being asked even if it's not her mess. She likes to have our classroom neat and tidy. I am so proud of her!

McKinley Elementary: Abby Richardson
We are excited to announce Abby Richardson as McKinley’s Kid of Character for April! Abby is an excellent student with a strong work ethic and desire to learn. She arrives on time to school every single day, prepared with her necessary materials. Abby works very hard on all of her assignments, and always puts forth her best effort. She has grown so much during the course of this school year, and we are extremely proud of how much she has accomplished. Abby is also a great friend to everyone, and treats every person she meets with kindness. She is well-mannered, respectful, and a good listener. It is a joy to have Abby in Kindergarten this year. She’s an all around amazing kid!

Shawnee Elementary: Laila Nash
Mrs. Shaw chose Laila Nash for her character trait of honesty. Laila takes responsibility for her actions and doesn't embellish the truth for anyone or anything. She is fair to everyone and strives to be honest at all times. Laila is truthful in her words and actions as well. She would never be dishonest to anyone, even if it meant losing friends. I feel blessed to have Laila as a student this year and am very proud to call her the Shawnee Student of Character.

Tecumseh Elementary: Jace Matheney
In March at Tecumseh we focused on the character trait of Cooperation. Jace demonstrates cooperation in the classroom on a daily basis. He is always willing to jump in and help someone else. He has a caring heart for others and is very respectful. He listens intently and works hard in class. He works well with others and is very patient when offering a helping hand. He volunteers to answer questions in class and will demonstrate how he got the answers. Jace makes our classroom a better place. We are so proud of you, Jace!
