This year, Xenia High School has implemented two Lean Six Sigma certifications for students into the Business/Marketing Pathway taught by Donna Atkinson and the Career-Based Interventions (CBI) program taught by Jon Snyder.
In total for the first semester, 35 students achieved the Yellow Belt certification, and 36 completed the Leadership Excellence certification. Students from all grades completed the certification, including 21 seniors who will benefit immediately from adding these industry-recognized credentials to their resume as they plan for life after high school.
The Lean Six Sigma certifications are applicable to all career fields, and the district currently has seven staff members who are fully trained in: 1) Yellow Belt, 2) Leadership Excellence, and 3) Green Belt certifications.
