This past month leading into Fall Break, our elementary buildings once again held a friendly attendance competition, tracking their attendance rates from November 1-22. The school with the highest attendance percentage would win bragging rights and take possession of the traveling attendance trophy, while the school with the lowest attendance percentage would have to pay a truly "egg-cellent" penalty: The principal of the school with the lowest percentage will wear an inflatable chicken costume to help present the trophy to the winning elementary school.
The final results:
- 1st Place: Cox Elementary (93.14%)
- 2nd Place: Arrowood Elementary (91.83%)
- 3rd Place: Tecumseh Elementary (91.39%)
- 4th Place: McKinley Elementary (91.09%)
- 5th Place: Shawnee Elementary (91.0%)
Congratulations to Cox Elementary for keeping possession of the Attendance trophy! We are sure they are feeling "peck-tacular" about their performance, but we think EVERY one of these buildings did an absolutely "hen-credible" job this year, with attendance of at least 91% leading into the break. No one was "winging it" in this competition, that's for sure. Way to go, Bucs!
