Just in time for Veterans Day, our 7th grade leadership students interviewed veterans in our community for a Social Studies class project! They polished up their critical thinking and teamwork skills as they worked in small groups to plan questions and complete their interviews. Every student at Warner also had the chance to participate in a flag ceremony by posting a small flag on the lawn in front of the school on Veterans Day.
The ceremony with AT&T, which donated the
flags for the project, was hosted by Mrs. McClain's 7th grade leadership students.
A special THANK YOU to the veterans who volunteered to be part of the research project! This mix of Xenia staff, parents, and alumni were wonderful to work with, and our students send their thanks:
