Xenia Community Schools is set to recommend Jason Caudill to the XCS Board of Education for the position of Varsity Head Coach at the board’s upcoming regular meeting on June 12.

“We are excited to bring Coach Caudill back on board to take our high school basketball program to the next level,” said Dr. Gabe Lofton, Superintendent. “There is a proud, strong tradition for basketball excellence at Xenia High School, and Jason’s passion and history with the program is a serious asset to the district.”

Caudill has nearly 20 years of experience coaching basketball at all levels, including as the Boys Varsity Assistant Coach at Xenia High School for five years, preceded by four years as the JV Head Coach. He has also coached girls’ programs for the district, as well as served as Head AAU Coach for the Dayton Metro League for boys’ and girls’ teams.

"Jason is a Xenia guy who has great knowledge and understanding of our student-athletes and the expectations that go with the job," said Nathan Kopp, Athletic Director. "We are excited to have Jason on board and look forward to a successful season!"

Caudill is excited to return to the court for Xenia Schools after a brief hiatus during his son’s tenure on the team.

"I am excited for this opportunity to coach these young men in Xenia," said Caudill. "Being from Xenia, I’m excited to bring the tradition of what Xenia basketball is for the community. With the help of coaching staff, administrators, and the athletic director we will get this program to a level that our Community can be proud of."
