Ava Wellman is the definition of "great character." In the two years that I have known Ava, she has consistently shown me that she values the feelings and perspectives of other people. She shows kindness and empathy to everyone she meets. I have seen her invite lonely students to sit at her lunch table. She has befriended students in our MH program who now look up to her and call her friend. She is the first person to offer a hug to anyone who is in need. She shows integrity in the way that she carries herself and the way she presents herself to other people. She is honest, trust-worthy, and absolutely wonderful!
