Congratulations to our November Kids of Character!

Arrowood Elementary: Che' Mobley
Cox Elementary: Takeshi Gaines
McKinley Elementary: Xavier Eltzroth
Shawnee Elementary: Molly Vaughn
Tecumseh Elementary: Victoria Grimes
Warner Middle School: Violet Black
Xenia High School: Kennedy Thomas

Xenia Preschool
Evie Newport is an outstanding preschool friend. She models being a preschool Super Friend daily. She is kind, helpful and a friend to all of her peers. Evie is supportive and encouraging to all of her peers in her class. She will offer to help her classmates and she will help them solve problems when needed. Evie shows empathy to her friends when they are sad by giving hugs or a gentle rub on the back. If you enter our classroom, you can often see Evie lending a hand without any hesitation. Evie is a Super Preschool Friend.

Arrowood Elementary
Che' Mobley is our November Kid of Character.  Che' is in the 4th grade.  His academic work earned him a spot on the A/B honor roll.  Che's effort on his schoolwork is just one example of why he is our Kid of Character.  What is just as commendable about him is his genuine good heart.  Che possesses the rare ability to be everyone's friend.  Other students look to him in social situations, and they follow his lead.  We are so thankful he is our student because he can be a good role model for the younger students and a good friend to his classmates.
Che' is well deserving of this honor and recognition!

Cox Elementary
Takeshi Gaines has been chosen as Cox Elementary's Student of Character. He was nominated by Ms. Lacy, who writes: "Takeshi always tries to follow the rules and be an example of our Shining Star values. He's always friendly and polite to me, whether he is doing work or greeting me in the hallway. He has made so much progress since he got here. I would love for him to be recognized for this."

McKinley Elementary
McKinley Elementary 4th grade teachers are excited to announce Xavier Eltzroth as McKinley's Kid of Character for November!  Xavier is a very sweet, hard-working student. He is always kind and helpful to his peers and teachers. Xavier stays on task every day in class and completes quality work.  He exhibits character traits such as respect, responsibility, and self-control. He sets an excellent example for his classmates to follow.  Xavier walks in with a smile every day and a positive attitude.  We are so proud and thankful to have him in our classes this year! Keep up the good work, Xavier!

Shawnee Elementary
From Mrs. Combs: I am so excited to nominate Molly Vaughn for this month’s student of character.  Molly is a great student for many reasons. First, she is always prepared for class. She follows directions quickly and never complains. She has her materials and is always willing to help others. She also comes to class every day with a great attitude. She can always be seen with a smile on her face and takes challenges without looking back. Outside of the classroom, Molly can be seen being kind to others and passing her good attitude to her peers. I am so proud to have her as a student in my class. Please keep up the good work.

Tecumseh Elementary
From Mrs. Scheerschmidt:
Victoria Grimes is an excellent student who is responsible. When she has a task, assignment or job to do she remembers to do it and always works to the best of her ability. She is very responsible. She turns her work in on time and she has many extra responsibilities at school. Just a few examples are that she is responsible for properly raising and lowering our flag each day, she has a different job each week in the classroom, and she is a volunteer helper with another student in our building. She often picks him up and drops him back off to class before and after specials. She is a cheerful and lovely girl.

Warner Middle School
Warner Middle School is proud to nominate Violet Black as our Kid of Character for November.  Violet is an 8th grader at Warner. Violet exudes joy and cheerfulness and pours her heart into everything she does. She works hard, has a great personality, pays attention, and always does her best. She is a devoted young person who is involved at Warner and in the community.  She invests her time in acting and volunteering. Violet is a guiding light to her peers, encouraging and inspiring them to be their best. We are tremendously pleased to know and teach Violet and so glad to have her at Warner!

Xenia High School
The High School wishes to acknowledge Kennedy Thomas, Class of '24, as our Student of Character for November of 2022.  Kennedy moved into the district over the summer, so this is her first year at Xenia High School.  She has impressed teachers with her kindness and her leadership in her classes.  Kennedy says her favorite thing about Xenia High School is how much school spirit students and staff demonstrate.  Kennedy has an older brother at Capital University, and a younger brother who is in eighth grade. After high school, Kennedy wants to pursue a career in nursing, following in the footsteps of several members of her extended family.  Xenia High School is delighted to have Kennedy Thomas as our Student of Character for November.
