Friday, September 22 was the annual Tractor Drive-In at Xenia High School!
In recognition of National Farm Safety and Health Week, our XHS agriculture students wanted to spread the word about tractor safety on the road. They met up on Friday morning at a local farm and proceeded to the fairgrounds, before heading over to the high school.
From XHS, students participating in this year's event: Dillon Barrett, Otis Boyette, Myleigh Marinelli, and Emma Slone.
National Farm Safety and Health Week is designed to heighten awareness of the busy fall harvest season. Led by the National Education Center for Agricultural Safety (NECAS), the third week of September has been proclaimed as such by each sitting U.S. President since Franklin D. Roosevelt in 1944.
The morning was attended by our agriculture students and their family members, Xenia High School FFA alumni, Old Timers Festival participants, and staff.
