Baskets for Battle 2021

Annual Baskets for Battle Fundraiser Kicks Off
Posted on 11/08/2021
Once again this year, Xenia High School’s Student Council is collecting supplies to put together baskets to help patients during chemotherapy and radiation treatment.

Baskets for Battle is a student-run fundraiser, designed to aid battling cancer patients of all ages and genders. The “baskets” (typically tote bags) will be filled with items designed to comfort the patients specifically during chemotherapy or radiation, as certain items can be of great assistance to the patients during this difficult time.

Over the past two years, XHS students have made a total of 500 baskets! This year, we are hoping to make 250-300 bags for local patients at Miami Valley South, Miami Valley Gynecological Center, Soin Medical Center, Kettering Hospital, and Dayton V.A.

XHS students will deliver the baskets in mid-December to present patients with these early Christmas presents. XHS Student Council would like to encourage you to engage in this project and encourage others to do so as well!

WHEN: Donations are now open, and will be accepted until Friday, December 3.

HOW: Donations can be brought to the Xenia High School Main Office, guidance office, Mrs. Tate's Room and Mrs. Petraiuolo's room. The best time to drop off is before or after school.
