2022 Xenia Football Team Recognized by Board of Education

At the December 12 board meeting, the undefeated 2022 XHS Varsity Football team was recognized for their undefeated season.
Here are the records that were set along the way:
◾ 10 Regular Season Wins
◾ 64 Points In a Single Game October 13, 2022 (Xenia 64 WC 20)
◾ 446 Total Points in a Season
◾ 4,807 Total Offense
◾ 24 Rushing TDs in a Season - Trei’Shaun Sanders
◾ 25 Total Touchdowns in a Season - Trei’Shaun Sanders
◾ 1,757 Rushing Yards in a Season - Trei'Shaun Sanders
◾ 1,128 Receiving Yards in a Season - Tremell Wright
◾ 1,633 Receiving Yards in a Career - Tremell Wright
◾ 17 Receiving TDS in a Season - Tremell Wright
◾ 12 Career Interceptions - Tremell Wright
The Bucs had 14 players earn all-league, 13 earned all-Southwest District and 6 earned all-state. This included Jemell Smith, Tremell Wright, and Trei'Shaun Sanders, who all earned a spot on the 1st team all-state. In addition, head football coach Maurice Harden was Southwest District and Ohio D2 Coach of the year.
Accepting the award from Board President Joshua Day and Superintendent Dr. Gabe Lofton during the meeting were two of our team captains: Jackson Tate and Gavin McManus.
