Facilities Plan Information

Our five new elementary buildings were constructed in 2013 and now it is time to address the building needs at the secondary level.

Warner Middle School was built in 1962 with additions made in 1967. It is currently over capacity. The building was built to hold 823 students. There will be 951 students in the building next school year.

There are significant mechanical and safety upgrades needed at Xenia High School.

Last year the district created a Facilities Master Plan which addresses maintenance needs for all buildings. We have been doing maintenance work and will continue to do so. We are committed to building maintenance to keep our buildings warm, safe, and dry for students.

This will truly be a community-driven decision and communication will be transparent throughout the process.

The first step was holding three Facilities Listening Sessions with the public on May 16. Click here to see the slide show presented during those sessions.

The next step is to continue to share information and get feedback through this page and through our Facebook page.

The illustrations included in the survey below are conceptual. Once a plan is chosen, then the site plans will be finalized and work will begin to figure out how the building could be set up. The community will be given the opportunity to give design input.

We encourage you to read through the six options and to give us your opinion and ranking for each. In the survey you will have the opportunity to give feedback and ask questions.

If you would rather fill out a paper survey, click here to download and print the survey, or you pick up a copy at the Board of Education Office located at 819 Colorado Drive, Xenia.
