Special Educational Services are provided to students with disabilities as defined by the Individuals with Disabilities Education Improvement Act (IDEIA). Xenia Community Schools ensures that a free appropriate public education (FAPE) is made available to all children with disabilities between the ages of three and twenty-one.

These services include integrated preschool programs for children with identified special needs aged 3-5 yrs; general education teachers working with Intervention Specialists to meet the needs of students grades K-12; individual/small group instruction; resource rooms and special classes. Services are based on the individual needs of the student as documented in the Individual Education Program (IEP).

Other special education related services such as occupational therapy, adapted physical education, physical therapy, speech/language therapy and interpreter services are available based on each student's IEP.
