From the SuperintendentWelcome to Xenia Community Schools. I am proud to lead this innovative and inspiring district with high quality educational programs, excellent teaching staff, rigorous core curriculum, and more than 4,000 motivated and capable students.

Critical core subject areas are regularly evaluated and updated with new curriculum and resources. Our K-5 curriculum was most recently updated in 2022, and changes are planned for secondary students to take effect in the 2023-2024 school year. In addition, every student has access to technology through our 1:1 laptop initiative.

Our school district consists of eight schools: Xenia High School, Warner Middle School, Arrowwood Elementary, Cox Elementary, McKinley Elementary, Shawnee Elementary, Tecumseh Elementary, and Xenia Preschool. We also offer an Online Edge program, a self-paced online option that keeps the critical support of our Xenia teachers and opportunities to interact regularly with other students in place.

Xenia offers many extra and co-curricular opportunities for students. The district promotes and supports high achievement with technology courses, gifted programming, advanced placement and dual enrollment courses, and many elective course offerings that allow students to explore their academic interests. We have done a lot of work to provide students with an excellent education. In 2022, our students' test scores improved in 16 of the 23 tested areas.

There are a lot of great things happening in Xenia Community Schools at all grade levels, and we will continue to share stories on this site, in my regular e-news to the community, and on social media — so be sure to opt-in to my newsletter and follow us online

I believe that open and full communication is key to building trust and collaboration, which will help us reach our goals faster. If you have any feedback or suggestions, you can always email them to [email protected].
