Robert P. Dillaplain, MD has served as a member of the Xenia Community Schools Board of Education for more than 25 years.

During Dr. Dillaplain's tenure as a Board member, he has helped shaped the policies which improved our students' academic achievements such that our District has been twice awarded "A District of Excellence" based on the State Report Card. 

Dr. Dillaplain has served the Board in a variety of leadership positions, including: Board President (8 times), Board Vice-President (8 times), Board Legislative Representative (21 years), awarded the Ohio School Board Award of Achievement (12 times), and was nominated by his fellow Board members for the Ohio School Board Association's Al Kettlewell Award for Outstanding School Board Leadership (2007).

His educational achievements include: Baylor University, Bachelor of Science (1970), Baylor College of Medicine, M.D. (1973), University Dayton, Masters Public Administration with emphasis on community building and economics (2004), and Clinical Assistant Professor, Wright State University (26 years).

For the last 30 years, Dr. Dillaplain has lived in New Jasper Township, which is in the Xenia Community School's district boundaries. His service to our community includes: Private medical practice in Xenia (31 years), business owner in Xenia (22 years), Xenia Chamber of Commerce (19 years), Medical Director Greene County Combined Health District (22 years), Board of Directors Greene Giving (14 years), and he is an Air Force Veteran, serving his country for more than 14 years. 

For a number of years, Dr. Dillaplain enjoyed competitive trail and endurance riding on his favorite horse Beni. In addition, for nearly two decades he has hosted a foreign exchange students from Switzerland and Colombia.
