Reading to Police Officers

Yesterday law enforcement officers from Xenia, Beavercreek, Cedarville, Centerville and Jamestown Police Departments sat with Tecumseh Elementary students and listened as they read books to them. The students are participating in a nationwide reading challenge called READBowl. Weekly prizes are awarded to classes with the highest number of in-school reading minutes. Students in Mrs. Frauman's second grade class, Mrs. Rubio's third grade class, and Mrs. Germano's fifth grade class took turns reading to the officers for a total of 120 minutes!
