Practicing Skills in the Morning

A group of students at McKinley Elementary come to school a little early three days a week for some extra time to work on reading and math. The students arrive at 8:10 a.m. to work individually on their laptops with an online program called Edgenuity. Each student receives tailored lessons assigned by the MAP test they took in the fall. The purpose of the intervention is to fill in the gaps, so students can master skills and ultimately make progress on the MAP assessments as well as spring state tests. This is the third year for the Edgenuity program at McKinley, and the data shows it is working - student test scores have increased!
