  4. Five years of experience as a Coordinator of Facilities or equivalent experience.
  5. Takes pride in personal appearance; maintains good personal hygiene.
  6. Be able to lift and carry 80 lbs.
  7. Be able to climb 35 ft. ladders or scaffolding.
  8. Demonstrates ability to assess and implement repairs.
  9. Professional tact, diplomacy, and flexibility with administrators, staff, teachers, students, parents, and the community.
  10. Meet the legal requirements relative to a criminal background check.
 General Description:
Performs those duties, which will contribute to and maintain the highest level of school plant, facilities, and grounds operations.
Essential Functions:
  1. Be responsible for the inspection, care, condition, appearance, repair, or replacement of physical equipment, buildings, facilities, and grounds; works with and directs maintenance personnel to accomplish this function.
  2. Assist in the organization, development, and presentation of training programs for personnel.
  3. Assist in the promotion of good safety practices and procedures.
  4. Work collaboratively with building principals to establish cleaning, work and summer maintenance schedules.
  5. Recommend needed materials and supplies to Director of Business Operations for purchasing.
  6. Maintain all required custodial records and maintenance reports.
  7. Remain current in maintenance techniques and operation.
  8. Provide leadership and supervision in setting up and implementing a preventive maintenance program for the district.
  9. Provide information relative to job performance of custodians and grounds staff when requested by the building administration.
  10. Constantly strives to promote the safety, health and comfort of the students and employees.
  11. Respond, if needed, to calls related to building security or other emergencies, and if unable to do so, informs the building administrator or Director of Business Operations.
  12. Oversees and manages direct reports absences and request leaves according to Board of Education policy.
  13. Demonstrate knowledge of operation of building utilities such as gas, water, and electricity in daily operation and emergency situations.
  14. Assist the Director of Business Operations with the preparation of long-range planning and budgetary needs for buildings and grounds maintenance.
  15. Assist in determining staffing needs, transfers, reductions and assignments.
  16. Regularly inspect buildings and grounds for needed maintenance and quality of custodial work.
  17. Construct examinations for maintenance and custodial positions.
  18. Initiate purchase orders for all supplies, materials, equipment, and contract work before purchase or authorization to perform.
  19. Recommend to the Director of Business Operations the employment of maintenance personnel and additional staff.
  20. Prepare a daily work schedule for the maintenance specialist.
  21. Abide by all Xenia Community School District policies 


(1) – A.M. – Preschool Assistant – (1-on-1)
3 hours daily/5 days a week - (Monday-Friday - 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.)(Benefits include life insurance only)
Hourly Rate:  $14.19 - $21.64

Tutors/Title 1 Tutor - Tutors needed during the school day, not to exceed 29 hours per week. Certification required: Valid Ohio Teaching License P-3/4-5 or 1-8. Hourly rate: $25.00 

No guarantee of employment after 2018-2019 school year.
