Students Celebrate the 100th Day of School
Last week Xenia students celebrated the 100th day of school! At Cox Elementary, students dressed up as if they were 100 years old. They also counted 100 pieces of cereal and strung necklaces. At McKinley Elementary students made a 100th day snack and came up with 100 clues to describe the contents of a mystery box. At Arrowood Elementary students wore shirts decorated with 100s and had a fashion show, complete with a red carpet.

Students Dress Up as their Famous American
Students in Tammy Busch’s Second Grade class have been researching and learning about famous Americans. They dressed up like their famous American, wrote a letter to the class sharing important information about that person's life, presented a time line, a picture, and a poster. The kids really enjoyed sharing their learning experience with their parents and their classmates. Their projects are displayed in the hallway.

Students Honored for Excellence
February's Kids of Character were honored at the Board of Education meeting last week. These students are all exemplary examples of excellence. We're proud of each and every one: Ava Holston from Arrowood, Kade King from Cox, Kayle Norfleet from McKinley, Cecil Piner from Shawnee, Landen Moorman from Tecumseh, Trinity Wiley from Warner, and Bristyl Dean from Xenia High School.
