Wave on Wheels Visits Arrowood Elementary
Last week kindergarten students at Arrowood Elementary learned all about SHARKS and they were even able to pet a shark! 🎵Baby shark, do do do do do doooo 🎵 Through a grant from The Wave Foundation,The Newport Aquarium brings their "Wave on Wheels" animal outreach program to local students. Students are able to see and touch exotic animals up close and personal. The travelling shark display is a "touch cart" and it is the only one of its kind in the United States. The lessons also include important information about aquatic life conservation. What a great learning opportunity for our students!

Students Learn about the History of Slavery
Seventh grade gifted students have been learning about the history of slavery. They read a fictional novel, studied the Emancipation Proclamation, and learned about the Civil Rights movement. The theme of the unit is called "Hope in Difficult Times."

Yesterday law enforcement officers from Xenia, Beavercreek, Cedarville, Centerville and Jamestown Police Departments sat with Tecumseh Elementary students and listened as they read books to them.
